Steve Mitchell, PT, MSPT (he/him)
Owner
Steve Mitchell, MSPT, owner, is a manual therapist who truly loves his job. With over twenty-five years of experience, he delivers a wealth of knowledge, experience, and compassion to his patients, staff and the doctors with whom he works. Steve enjoys the individualized attention he is able to give patients and the opportunity to teach and coach everyone he treats. He feels lucky to be working alongside a dedicated and experienced team of therapists. Steve works at our Portland location.
Duncan Mitchell, PT, DPT, OCS (he/him)
Clinical Director, Physical Therapist
Duncan graduated from the University of Saint Augustine for Health Sciences in San Diego. As much as he enjoyed the annual sunshine, his home is Portland. He has worked in multiple settings and with diverse populations, but is most drawn to the individualized approach of 1 on 1 care. Duncan enjoys participating in as many sports and outdoor activities as possible, with some of his favorites including cycling, baseball, skiing, volleyball, and hiking. Duncan works at our Milwaukie location.
Haley Mitchell, PT, DPT, OCS (she/her)
Physical Therapist
Haley received her doctorate degree in physical therapy at University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in San Marcos, California, graduating with high honors. She has completed additional manual therapy training through both University of St. Augustine and the Institute of Physical Art. She completed an internship with the Institute of Physical Art that served both the Olympic development ski team in Steamboat Springs and the Perry-Mansfield Arts Academy. Haley treats pelvic floor, orthopedic and sports injuries. She is a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist, Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist, and certified Pilates and Spin Instructor. Special interests include caring for the female athlete and postpartum return to sport. Haley enjoys surfing, skiing, cycling and being outdoors with her family.
Tarah Hoelter, PT, DPT, OCS (she/her)
Physical Therapist
Tarah completed her physical therapy degree at Eastern Washington University. Tarah is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. She also specializes in pelvic health and pelvic pain related to pre/postpartum issues. She utilizes manual therapy along with strength training and exercise in order to help her patients achieve their goals. Whether you are coming back from a surgery, injury, are ready to get out of pain, or want to move more efficiently, Tarah will definitely help you get back to your active lifestyle! Tarah works at our Milwaukie location.
Brenden Thompson, PT, DPT (he/him)
Physical Therapist
Brenden is a native Oregonian and attended George Fox University for both his bachelor's and Doctorate of Physical Therapy degrees. He received his doctorate of physical therapy in 2018 and has specialized in orthopedic related injuries his entire career. His focus as a clinician is to guide and assist every patient in their journey of recovery and help them understand the factors that may influence their pain or lead to the onset of pain. Rehabbing an injury or recovering from a pain experience is about collaboration to reach that person's specific goals. His passion is to come alongside and educate every person he works with on the complexity of pain and the value of movement and exercise. He has a special interest in managing runners, weight lifters, athletes after an ACL reconstruction, and various foot/ankle conditions. When Brenden isn't working as a physical therapist, he spends his time with his wife, Gloria, and his son, Finneas. He also has a love for going to the gym, playing disc golf, and spending time with friends and family.
Allison Sam, PT, DPT (she/her)
Physical Therapist
Allison is a native Oregonian, and received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from South College - Knoxville and graduated with honors. Prior to that she completed her undergraduate degree at Pacific University, majoring in Exercise Science Integrative Physiology. Allison strives to understand what her patients love doing, and help them get back to it though individualized treatment plans. Outside of work she enjoys hiking, camping, going to the beach, as well as playing soccer and softball.
Judy (she/her)
Office Manager
Judy has over 16 years experience with the physical therapy business. She has been a patient advocate for 10 years, working with insurance billing and accounts receivables. She enjoys helping our patients understand and best utilize their insurance benefits. Judy has taken many classes to improve her overall understanding in the ever changing coding and insurance guidelines. Judy loves to go camping, go to the beach and spend time with her grandkids.

Front Office Specialist
Bridget graduated from Portland State University with a degree in Arts & Letters. She enjoys the outdoors, such as going to the beach with her friends and family. When she isn’t outdoors, you can find her listening to and playing music. She is very energetic and kind, and can’t wait to help our patients.
Lindsey (they/them)
Front Office Specialist
Lindsey is a writer and artist, and is often found curled up with their cat and a good book. They enjoy sewing and embroidery, playing tabletop games, and exploring the city. Lindsey loves helping people of all kinds thrive, which they look forward to bringing to our patients.
